Clay photoshoot from his new album, A Thousand Different Ways. Out September
19 2006. Layout by azuresque
I had thought that I was done with blogging well and good. Apparently not. Decided to start again after discovering a new blog that was kinda inspiring (thanks to Sheryl for the link). Also because there have been rather significant events that are worth blogging about, especially since the year is drawing to a close. Bear with me if I’ve already shared these with you.
Runs I’ve completed this year:
1) SAFRA Sheares Bridge Run & ARMY Half Marathon 27 Aug 06 - 6km (non-competitive) (1hr plus? -Â too crowded to run)
2) Run For Hope 17 Sept 2006 - 9km (1:05)
3) Great Eastern Women 10K 29 Oct 2006 - 10km (1:10:01)
4) Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 3 Dec 2006Â - Half Marathon 21.1km (2:50:50 gun, 2:46:27 chip)
This is only the beginning. More in 2007! This year, these were all run just to complete them. Next year will be a whole different ballgame. It’s a whole new world, and I’m glad to have found friends who are also running enthusiasts! Mor about Stand Chart soon. I wish I had taken photos.
Getting the NUS postgrad position means I’m gonna have to work a heck of a lot harder next year and I have to be a lot more careful about how I manage my time. Grace has brought me thus far and grace will see me through.
2005 was and awful year that I’d be happy to forget, and 2006 has been a struggle too, but it’s ending well and all signs point to a promising new start.
Things to do in preparation for 2007:
1) Work out schedule for thesis project and modules
2) Spring clean work, home, email and hard disk
3) Finish up stuff for Christmas party at work
4) Logistics for Senior Youth Camp
5) Christmas pressies and cards
6) Update blog layout and wordpress
7) Meet up with friends that I should meet up with
